Enjoy a guided walk around Willen Lake and the Tree Cathedral through a sociological lens.

During this walk we will explore how the landmarks around Willen Lake reflect the unique culture and social make up of Milton Keynes, how this has changed over time and how The Parks Trust cares for its cultural treasures.

This walk and talk is suitable for anyone who wants to find out a little more about the parks. We will be following the main paths, but may venture into grassland to get up close to some features, so please wear suitable footwear.

    Willen Lake North is home to one of Milton Keynes’ best-known landmarks, the first Peace Pagoda to be built in the western world - and to a rich and varied bird population.

    Nearest refreshments are at the Lakeside Hotel and Cafe (weekends and school holidays) at South Willen Lake. The Camphill Community runs a vegetarian café opposite the main car park.
